Loop pile carpet has uncut fibre loops and is very durable, making it well suited to high-traffic areas. Cut pile carpet has the loops sheared to create an upright, softer surface — styles include plush, twist, and saxony.

Most manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning every 12–18 months. Regular vacuuming (at least weekly in busy areas) between professional cleans will significantly extend the carpet's life and appearance.

Carpet is an excellent choice for bedrooms — it's warm underfoot, absorbs sound, and creates a cosy feel. Softer cut pile styles like plush or saxony are particularly popular in sleeping areas.

A quality underlay improves comfort, insulation, and noise reduction while extending the life of the carpet. Thickness and density requirements vary by carpet type — we'll advise the right match.

Act quickly — blot the spill with a clean white cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Apply a small amount of carpet cleaner or mild detergent solution, then blot again. Rinse with cold water and blot dry.
